How PDF Rotation Works

Upload Your PDF

First, upload your PDF file by dragging and dropping it onto the page or clicking the "Select PDF File" button. Our system accepts PDF files up to 100MB with no page limit. Whether your document has 5 pages or 500 pages, we handle it all.

Once uploaded, our engine reads your PDF and generates thumbnail previews for every page. Each thumbnail shows the current orientation of that page, so you can see exactly what needs to be rotated. The file info bar shows your filename, total page count, and file size.

What happens during upload:

• Our system reads the PDF structure and page count
• Each page is rendered as a thumbnail image
• Current rotation metadata is detected for each page
• Page dimensions (landscape/portrait) are analyzed
• All processing happens locally in your browser

Rotate Your Pages

Now comes the main part—rotating your PDF pages. You have two powerful options for rotation:

Option A: Rotate All Pages

Use the "Right 90°" or "Left 90°" buttons in the sidebar to rotate every single page in your document. This is perfect for documents where the entire file came out at the wrong angle.

Option B: Rotate Individual Pages

Click on any specific page thumbnail to rotate just that page. The rotate buttons are in each page's footer. This gives you precise control for mixed-orientation documents.

The sidebar also has a size slider to adjust your thumbnail grid. Slide to "Large" for detailed viewing when checking specific pages, or slide to "Small" to see more pages at once when managing large documents.

Rotation options:

• Rotate All Right (90°): Rotates every page 90 degrees clockwise
• Rotate All Left (90°): Rotates every page 90 degrees counter-clockwise
• Individual page buttons rotate only that specific page
• Rotation is cumulative—rotate multiple times for 180° or 270°
• "Reset All" clears all rotations and starts fresh

Verify and Download

Before finalizing, use our zoom feature to verify each page's rotation. Click any thumbnail to open it full-screen in our lightbox viewer. This shows you exactly how the page will look in the final PDF. Navigate between pages using arrow buttons or page dots.

Once satisfied with your rotations, click "Apply Rotation" in the sidebar. Our engine processes your PDF and applies all rotations as lossless metadata changes. Then download your rotated PDF with "_rotated" added to the filename.
